At the new Ommelander Hospital in Scheemda, an autonomous vehicle will start shuttling passenger between the nearest bus stop and the hospital’s main entrance (approximately 1.5 km). The pilot is scheduled to run for a half a year period. If this pilot proves to be successful, the shuttle service shall be implemented permanently.
At the Eemshaven various self-driving vehicles from different suppliers are to be tested at a closed-off part of the area. The tests include – among others – object detection and driving under varying weather conditions.
